What is iXell
Electronic glucometer for measuring glucose in capillary blood. The device automatically draws a blood drop from the test strip and returns the result in 5 seconds. Memory holds up to 450 readings with date and time plus 7–90-day averages. The kit includes the glucometer, test strips, a lancing device with lancets, control solution, a clear AST cap, a battery and a case.

Why iXell
Six key advantages for confident home monitoring
EN ISO accuracy
Compliant with the international EN ISO 15197:2015 accuracy standard for home glucometers.
Result in 5 seconds
Fast reading lets you decide on insulin correction without delay.
Minimal blood sample
The test strip draws the required volume on its own — one drop is enough.
Safe ejection
An ejection button minimises hand contact with the used strip.
5-year warranty
The manufacturer guarantees accuracy and performance for 5 years.
Control solution
Includes a control solution for self-checking the device to confirm accuracy.
How to use
- 1

Insert the test strip into the glucometer
The device powers on automatically and recognises the strip code. The screen prompts you to apply a blood drop.
- 2

Lance your finger and apply a blood drop to the strip
Lance the side of your fingertip pad with a personal lancet and touch the drop to the strip edge — it absorbs on its own.
- 3

Get the result
After 5 seconds the glucose level appears on screen. The result is saved to the device memory automatically.

Who iXell is for
Eight self-monitoring scenarios — from new diagnosis to intensive insulin therapy. Each has its own measurement protocol and target values.
Show clinical scenarios (8)For clinicians and well-prepared patients

Newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes
First 3–6 months: learn how your body responds to food, movement and stress.

Type 1 diabetes on intensive insulin therapy
4–8 readings a day: before meals, 2 hours after, at bedtime, and on any hypo suspicion.

Type 2 diabetes on oral drugs
Paired pre/post-meal readings show the response to specific foods.

Pregnancy with diabetes
Tight IADPSG targets: fasting < 5.3 and 1 h post-meal < 7.8 mmol/L.

Prediabetes and prevention
Periodic fasting checks to catch progression to diabetes early.

Elderly patients on sulfonylureas
Main priority — avoid hypoglycemia. Simple protocol with minimal readings.

Children and adolescents with diabetes
ISPAD age-based targets, measurement training, school care plan.

Sport and physical activity
Before and after exercise — managing late-onset hypoglycemia.
Each scenario has its own page with measurement protocol, target values, and links to ADA / ISPAD / IADPSG guidelines.
