What it is
BD Micro-Fine Plus is a single-use U-100 insulin syringe with a fixed integrated needle. The integrated needle eliminates dead space, so no insulin is lost and the dose is drawn up precisely. The scale is graduated in insulin units — not millilitres — which removes conversion errors. Important: the syringe is calibrated for U-100 insulin — make sure your insulin is U-100 too. 100 sterile syringes per box.
Three options — matched to your insulin dose
All syringes are for U-100 insulin. The volume is chosen for the largest single dose, the needle length for injection technique and body type.
0.5 ml, 8 mm needle
0.30 mm (30G) × 8 mm. A scale up to 50 units of U-100 insulin. The standard needle length for adults injecting into subcutaneous fat.
0.5 ml, 6 mm needle
0.30 mm (30G) × 6 mm. The same volume up to 50 units of U-100, but a shorter needle — a lower risk of hitting muscle.
0.3 ml Demi — ½-unit steps
0.30 mm (30G) × 8 mm. BD Micro-Fine Plus Demi: ½-unit increments and a scale up to 30 units of U-100. For small and fractional doses — children and insulin-sensitive patients.
